Istotne Nagr. is very happy to welcome a new artist on board. Christoph Neubert aka Kid Kozmoe is a Leipzig-based DJ/producer and blogger writing about electronic music for www.frohfroh.de. As a late-nineties kid, he grew up influenced by comic books, computer games, early internet forums and, most importantly, the hip-hop culture, which introduced him to the world of beats and samples. Digging through jazz, funk and soul records eventually led him to DJing at the age of 16, soon allowing him to embrace new genres such as drum’n’bass, IDM and – a few years later – dubstep and skweee. The latter also inspired him to start buying gear like cheap synths and FX which, despite their limitations, can be used to make music in creative ways.

Always eager to try different genres and tempos, keen on music that is quite funky, but doesn’t take itself too seriously, Kid Kozmoe started making beats for Talking to Ghosts EP a few years ago. It's obviously influenced by adventure game music like Monkey Island (a truly common ground with the Istotne Nagr. label owner – just check out that Bandcamp page header above!), skweee, soundtracks, UK rave nostalgia, Korg Volca jam sessions and the ideas such as "How can I make music with non-steady BPM?".
